Wine, Cheese and Bread – A Taste of Real France

 

Wine and cheese are two pillars of French culture, and we created this tasting to help you understand and enjoy them like a local. During this evening, you’ll learn the essentials of wine tasting and food pairing, with a special focus on seasonal cheeses and how they interact with different styles of wine. We’ll also enjoy a variety of fresh breads, straight from local artisan bakeries, including traditional baguettes, corn bread and cranberry loaves, depending on the creations of the day.

 

A Friendly, Fun and Educational Experience

 

You’ll taste four wines and twelve cheeses, all carefully selected from independent winemakers and cheesemongers. The tasting is divided into four parts, each wine paired with three different cheeses. In each round, we’ll guide you through the wine, its region, its grape variety and its characteristics, such as sweetness, acidity, body, roundness and length.

 

Between each tasting moment, there will be time to chat, relax and enjoy the experience with French music playing in the background. These pauses are a chance to connect with other participants, share impressions and enjoy the food and wine at your own rhythm.

 

Come Hungry and Curious

 

The tasting portions are generous, with about one third of a bottle of wine per person and enough cheese and bread to replace a full meal. This means there’s no need to eat before or after, just bring your curiosity and your appetite.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or already enjoy wine, this experience is designed for everyone. We use simple, everyday language, and by the end of the evening, you’ll not only know what you like, but also how to describe it and why.
