Raphaël Stora learned to dance in the world of hip-hop battles alongside his film studies at Paris 8 University. In 2017, he directed the documentary series Les promesses du sol, broadcast on ARTE. In 2023, he joined Saido Lehlouh’s piece Témoin as a dancer, an experience he documented in the film Les corps électriques, broadcast on ARTE in 2025.

His dance is influenced by Popping, hip-hop, cinema and is rooted in a research practice focused on the relationship between fluidity and rupture, exploring how to break movement logics by shifting energy or bodily states.
