Etay Axelroad is a Romanian-born choreographer and former dancer of Batsheva Dance Company, Göteborgs perans Danskompani and S-E-D Sharon Eyal. He is the creator of the Axelroad Movement Methodology, a physical practice developed over the past decade that serves both as an independent movement system and the foundation of his choreographic work. Axelroad has created interdisciplinary works for stage, film, and site-responsive contexts, with commissions from leading institutions across Europe, Israel and the United States, including Ballet Oper Graz, Palucca University of Dance Dresden, Peridance Center, DAF Rome and Carvalho
