Welcome! I am happy to invite you to L’Annexe @YAY Yoga Studio in Paris 18ème on Wednesday 8th July at 6pm for a psychedelic breathwork workshop.
Psychedelic breathwork is an ancient technique that takes you into an altered state of consciousness, just by changing how you breathe. In this naturally-induced trance, you open space in your body, mind and heart to feel more deeply.
We will start the session with a cacao ceremony: I will serve a brew of raw cacao, rich in natural antioxidants and crafted to support focus and heart-opening energy. The use of raw cacao in rituals originates from Aztec and Mayan traditions in South and Central America.
Important: there are no psychedelic or mind-altering substances used or consumed in this workshop. It is called "psychedelic" because the cacao and breathwork allow you to expand your consciousness.

- Opening circle, cacao ceremony & intention setting

⌾ How to prepare
- Bring an eye mask
- Wear comfortable and loose layers. If you easily get cold, bring a sweater and socks to cover up
- Come on an empty stomach: no food for at least 2 hours before, minimal liquids
- Please arrive 5 minutes early, doors close 10 minutes after the start time
⌾ Precautions
Breathwork is powerful and can feel like a high-intensity exercise. Please avoid this session if you have:
- A cold, sore throat, fever or nausea
- Cardiovascular issues such as hypertension
- Personal or family history of aneurysms
- Glaucoma or retinal detachment
- Advanced osteoporosis
- Neurological conditions such as Parkinson's or multiple sclerosis
- Seizure disorders
- Severe mental illness
- Recent major surgery or significant injuries
- Pregnancy

⌾ About me
Hi, I’m Charles. I am French & British, raised between 2 cultures. I've worked in the corporate & tech startup worlds (Danone, Deezer, APHP, Lehman Brothers & Newmark) for over 15 years, which took me around the world. These days I am based between Paris, NYC & Bali, supporting teams and individuals.
A little more personal: 5 years ago I was fired for being drunk at work. More than just getting sober, I had to start building a life I no longer needed to escape from. I have explored the shame, fear & rage that kept me from being able to be present in my body. I have been, and still am, on a quest for happiness. I've met many teachers through various experiences: therapies, coaching, meditation, breathwork, tantra, temazcal, plant medicine, men's initiations, talking circles & much more. All of these shape who I am today, and how I am now learning to hold space for others to feel.
Following certifications in reiki and sound medicine, I trained and certified in breathwork in the past years. I am also a certified ACC coach by the International Coaching Federation, and am currently training with the Interfaith Foundation to step into interfaith pastoral work. On the side I write and sing songs, and enjoy very good coffee.
