The Adaptation to Climate Change (AdACC) workshops are an awareness-raising tool and a methodology for discovering the challenges of adaptation.
Their aim is to help participants become acculturated to climate risk management, identify the pitfalls (i.e. maladaptations), and build momentum towards short-, medium- and long-term adaptations.
The workshop is based on a 2-stage method that participants learn to use:
> Acquisition of basic notions and discovery of the method / 1h30
> Putting the method into practice on an issue specific to the participants / 1h30
Based on the IPCC Working Group 2 report, and inspired by the Fresque du Climat pedagogy, the workshop is driven by collective intelligence, and is played with cards already created, but also with cards to be created.
