This performance is presented by the English Acting Team of THEATRAbratislava in the context of their yearly acting program. 

 

It's based on the famous play "An Enemy of the People" by Henrik Ibsen.

 

Is it enough to be right to change the world ?

 

Dr. Stockmann discovers that the waters of his town’s famous baths are contaminated, and therefore sets out to warn the public and make things right. But to fix the problem, work, time and money will be necessary.
The mayor of the city, also the doctor's brother, does not share this love for the truth and tries to silence the doctor.
The tension builds up between the people, the press and the politicians. Who is really on the side of the people? What values prevail above all else in our society?
