Pre-requisite :

Riggers and models should have reasonable experience with semi-suspension.
The bondages can be tied in semi-suspension, low suspension or high suspension depending on the position and your level.

Communication being a central element in shibari it is always preferable to come with a partner with whom you already practice in order to allow a good experience. 

The course will be taught in English.

Kinbaku without chest harness :

In July 2020, and November 2021 I gave 2 workshops (one day each) at Atelier Simonet on this theme.
This workshop will gather all the bondages taught previously ! 

In most Japanese-inspired styles, we tie a lot of TK: it is practical, aesthetic and ideal to communicate with the person in ropes.
In imagining this workshop, the question I asked myself was: How can we tie the hands in a creative way while keeping a technical and aesthetic consistency in our bondage?
To broaden our possibilities, I would like to explore with you different approaches to shibari without using the usual chest harnesses.
We will tie in semi-suspension and / or suspension depending on the bondage and your level.

   Material :

6-8 jute ropes, ideally 6mm in diameter and averaging 7-8 meters in length will be required.

  Bänana  (she / her) :

For about ten years Bänana had the funny habit of tying up her partners any way she could with anything she could get her hands on !
Quickly after starting shibari classes, she realized that her main drive in ropes would be the same as in her life : what is raw, unfiltered and authentic. Having always been fascinated by the expression of emotion, shibari has opened up a new path of exploration for Bänana. 

She began to follow Docvale’s teaching in November 2018, after which they also began tying together and shortly thereafter, they began working together. 

Bänana is a precise and demanding instructor regarding bondage technique. She considers that in order to tie well, we must understand the reasons for each of our technical choices rather than learning the instructions by heart.
Through this understanding of technique, we can put these technical abilities at the service of the relationship with our partner(s). That connection is what drives Bänana in her Kinbaku. 

Having significant experience both as a rigger and a rope model, Bänana is committed to teaching to both riggers and models, giving them the tools to have the most rewarding experience with ropes. During the classes she encourages everyone, (especially the models), to share their experience and feedback in order to grow together in this practice. 

   Chocolapain (she / her) : 

Marion has been modeling for shibari since 2017. She has been interested in many different ways of practicing ropes.

She has been practicing with Bänana for 4 years now especially for classes, public session shootings …

She also likes to tie and has been learning for a year with Bänana who trains her!

If you cancel more than 2 weeks in advance, we will refund your deposit.
If you cancel later, we will try to resell your ticket. If this is not possible, we will not be able to return your deposit.
For cancellations made in the last week before the workshop, if the place is not resold you will have to pay the remaining amount.
