Dans ce Moulin situé au bord du Grand Morin, à une demie-heure à l’est de Paris, de nombreux artistes et artisans, jardiniers et cuisiniers, créent in situ.
Ici, le processus de recherche et d’expérimentation qui mêle nature, création et vie quotidienne est permanent. Il fait émerger un monde à la fois réel et merveilleux, savant mélange d’art brut, de science fiction et de cirque fellinien. En y participant, qu’on soit créateur ou visiteur, on apprend à être créateur de sa vie, à transformer l’ordinaire en quelque chose d’inédit et de fantastique qui renoue avec des rêves d’enfants et d’évasion.
ON ASSOCIE NATURE, ART ET VIE QUOTIDIENNE
Une fois par an, et cette année les 19 et 20 septembre, un thème inédit est choisi, de nombreux artistes et artisans sont invités à l'explorer et convient le public à participer à ce grand festival. Cette année le festival est sur le thème du BAZAR.
C’est le grand carnaval-festival de la saison ! La caravane s’élance, le bazar s’agite, les artistes défilent. Des acrobates, des cracheurs de feu, des musiciens, des chameliers, des danseurs, tout cela dans une explosion de cris, de rires, de couleurs et de parfums.
Le temps du rougissement, du verdissement et du bleuissement est arrivé ! Hodja crie plus fort que tout le monde, chante les épices merveilleuses et les herbes qui s’accrochent aux habits des voyageurs, et rappelle que sur la Route de la Soie, c’est toujours le Soleil qui décide !
Ici, tout est son : cris, chants, murmures, bêlements, vocalises aquatiques, mezzo-sopranos et barytons — tout est bienvenu ! La musique est dans l’air, sous les fenêtres, dans chaque souffle. Chantons tous ensemble !

Moulin Jaune is a laboratory: a place saturated with creativity, eternally changing, each moment full with yearning for creativity. Here, no project is ever truly over and no experiment can be deemed a failure.
His owner and artistic director, Slava Polunin, is a clown, president of the International Academy of Fools, official Ambassador of H.C.Andersen, and creator of 30-year touring Slava’s Snowshow. At the Moulin Jaune, Slava invites multi-disciplinary artists and artisans to create an adventure where nature, creativity and everyday life are weaved together into joyful festive and wonderful living.
WEAVING TOGETHER NATURE, CREATIVITY AND EVERYDAY LIFE
Once a year — and this year on 19 and 20 September — a brand-new theme is chosen. Many artists and craftspeople are invited to explore it and to welcome the public to take part in this major festival. This year the them is the BAZAR
It's the grand carnival-festival of the season! The caravan sets off, the bazaar stirs to life, the artists parade by. Acrobats, fire-eaters, musicians, camel-drivers, dancers — all swept up in an explosion of shouts, laughter, colors, and scents.
The time of reddening, greening, and bluing has arrived! Hodja shouts louder than anyone, singing of wondrous spices and herbs that cling to travelers' clothes, reminding us that on the Silk Road, it's always the Sun who decides!
Here, everything is sound: shouts, songs, whispers, bleating, watery vocalises, mezzo-sopranos and baritones — all are welcome! Music is in the air, beneath the windows, in every breath. Let's all sing together!
Dress code is caftan, turban, and slippers.
