About
Need a change of scene before the end of June?

Come discover Bordeaux with AEGEE Toulouse during a summer weekend trip designed for international students and PhD students who want to explore a new city, enjoy time together, and create memories beyond Toulouse. With its elegant architecture, lively atmosphere, and plenty of places to wander, Bordeaux is a great destination for a social weekend away.

At AEGEE Toulouse, our longer trips are built around flexibility and shared experience. We suggest a structure and practical guidance so the group can travel smoothly, but we also leave room for everyone to shape their own weekend depending on what they enjoy most. Some may want museums or long walks, others cafés, riverside time, or just discovering the city at a relaxed pace. Students will coordinate naturally on the spot throughout the weekend.

The trip is planned by metro and train, so no car is needed. Please remember that transport and any visits, meals, or personal activities are at your own expense and have to be booked by the individual. It is a good idea to book early, as prices may increase.

Please note that over the summer we have fewer volunteers available, so while we will provide a practical info sheet with the key details you need, bookings and the organisation of the outing remain the responsibility of each participant.

Bring what you need for an overnight trip, including comfortable clothes, essentials, and anything that will make the weekend easy and enjoyable.

Here is the kind of program we are suggesting, with more specific guidance shared after registration:

Friday
16:00 – Departure (train)
18:40 – Arrival, Check-in and first group walk in the city
Saturday
with suggested points of interest and free time to explore
Optional shared meals and social moments across the weekend
Sunday
final stroll, flexible free time, and
16:24 - return to Toulouse

Price estimate: €150–350 pp for transport, 2 nights, food and basic activities; optional wine tours, CityPass or private rooms can increase the budget. Prices vary depending on when participants book.

Please be aware that you have to upload your train ticket in order to be able to register.

This trip is a great opportunity to enjoy a summer weekend in a new city, meet people more deeply, and experience Bordeaux in a relaxed and social way with AEGEE Toulouse.
