What is Breath Behind the Ego?

Breath Behind the Ego is the fusion of 9D Breathwork by Ego Burn and the innovative sound healing project “Behind the Ego” by Youssef Meksi.

This experience blends the science-backed power of 9D audio technology with the artistic depth of live music therapy, creating a unique sonic and emotional immersion.

“Behind the Ego” is an introspective sound journey designed to dissolve mental and physical barriers through a carefully crafted interplay of guided meditation, live acoustic instruments, and psycho-acoustic frequencies.

Born from collaborations with hypnotherapists, yoga coaches, dancers, and other wellness professionals, this project draws on both neuroscience and art to open new pathways to healing, presence, and transformation.

With headphones worn throughout the session, you are fully immersed in a 360° soundscape, guided by breath and deeply attuned musical cues — offering a rare opportunity to access new dimensions of self-awareness and emotional release.

This is a journey for those ready to soften the armor of identity, return to their authentic self, and awaken their inner peace.

My Journey to Creating Transformational Spaces

After a decade immersed in the world of IT engineering and business, I felt a deeper calling, one I could no longer ignore.

Guided by a passion for transformation, neuroscience, and spirituality, I began creating spaces where healing, art, and music merge to awaken something profound within.

In 2024, I launched my first holistic retreat, The Rebirth — a sacred sanctuary for renewal, self-exploration, and deep emotional release. Today, I guide individuals through powerful journeys of nervous system regulation using science-backed tools and the wisdom of the breath.

From one-on-one sessions to corporate wellness experiences, I now guide people around the world reconnect with their bodies, their truth, and their inner freedom — all through immersive, sensory-rich spaces that invite real, lasting change.

Youssef Meksi

Youssef Meksi, is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer whose work explores the intersection of sound, science, and soul.

More than a musician, he is a sound therapist who sees music as a way of life and healing. In 2022, he launched "Behind the Ego", an immersive music therapy project combining artistic performance with therapeutic intention.

Using a rich blend of acoustic instruments (guitar, flute, trumpet, piano...) and electronic textures, Meksi creates sonic spaces designed to release internal tension and reconnect listeners with their emotional depth.

He’s collaborated on projects with dancers, hypnotherapists, and theatre directors, and is currently finalizing his debut introspective album “Boutelis”, set to release in 2024.

Contraindications – Breathwork may not be suitable if you have:

• Cardiovascular issues (heart problems, high blood pressure, aneurysms)
• Neurological conditions (epilepsy, history of seizures)
• Severe psychiatric disorders (psychosis, paranoia, bipolar)
• Recent surgery or serious physical injury
• Osteoporosis
• Glaucoma
• Pregnancy
• Heavy medication use
• Asthma (participants should bring an inhaler & consult a doctor)
• Emotional/spiritual crisis or untreated mental illness
