From 8 PM to 9 PM, the Château de L’Aubrière welcomes you for a piano concert performed by local artist François Cornu, who will be playing on a quarter grand piano in our completely renovated large restaurant hall, decorated with numerous candles.
From 9 PM to 10 PM, you will have the opportunity to meet the artist, accompanied by a glass of champagne or a cocktail prepared by our bartender, as well as several homemade appetizers by our chef.
About the castle:The Château de l’Aubrière is a neo-Louis XIII style building, with Tudor influences. It was built in 1864 by the renowned Tours architect Jean-Charles Jacquemin, at the request of Ernest Martell.This private residence has had many owners before becoming the family hotel located near Tours that it is today. It notably housed a housekeeping school under the ownership of the Indre-et-Loire department, and then a home for young girls.
Throughout its history, the castle has hosted several personalities, such as Marie Bonaparte, Georges Feydeau, and the widow of the creator of the elixir of youth, Abbé Soury, who was also the owner.
Practical information: Pass through the white gate and walk up the hill to the castle.
