Winter is Coming: The Birth and Death of Humanity and the Universe

We will explore the rise of universal histories and their crucial role in the 21st century. Examining the broad patterns of the deep past, from the Big Bang to the modern day, we shall discover the trends that unify all the natural and social sciences, and give humanity a common origin story. These broad patterns also illuminate humanity's place in the tale of 13.8 billion years, and forecast the many changes of the near and deep future. Even the deepest reaches of the future, when the Universe succumbs to Heat Death. For now, complexity rises, but one thing is certain. Winter is Coming.
