Avec The Spirit of 3, Christophe Dal Sasso en collaboration avec la saxophoniste/chanteuse américaine Shekinah Rodz, nous amène là où ne l’attendait pas, quoi que le compositeur insatiable ne s’égare jamais trop loin de ses amours premières, le jazz et le répertoire classique.
Riche de ses écritures passées pour des big band, des chœurs ou des orchestrations symphoniques, il signe là un répertoire aussi profond que festif, au croisement des rythmes méditerranéens, africains et indiens, avec son ensemble de sept instrumentistes et une chanteuse/percussionniste.
Trois, encore. Chiffre décidément fondamental qui vient exalter tout ce que nous avons de binaire, nos bras, nos yeux, nos oreilles et jusqu’aux battements de nos cœurs.
Trois, pour dire la naissance, la vie, la mort. Mais surtout la vie ! Alors, la transe fut... L’intuition a ceci de fantastique qu’il lui arrive souvent de voir juste…

With The Spirit of 3, Christophe Dal Sasso, in collaboration with American saxophonist/singer Shekinah Rodz, takes us where we least expect it, although the insatiable composer never strays too far from his first loves, jazz and the classical repertoire.
Drawing on his rich experience writing for big bands, choirs, and symphonic orchestrations, he has created a repertoire that is as profound as it is festive, blending Mediterranean, African, and Indian rhythms with his ensemble of seven instrumentalists and a singer/percussionist.
Three, again. A decidedly fundamental number that exalts everything binary about us, our arms, our eyes, our ears, and even the beating of our hearts.
Three, to signify birth, life, and death. But above all, life! And so, the trance began... The fantastic thing about intuition is that it is often right...
