Workshop Description

The Food Collage workshop is a fun and educational session designed to guide participants toward more sustainable eating habits and to raise awareness of the impacts of their food choices (environment, biodiversity, health, and territorial resilience).

The workshop is adaptable and also available in an online version!

The workshop is inspired by its big sister, the Climate Fresk, but having done it beforehand is not a prerequisite! (click HERE to participate)

The workshop is based on collective intelligence. The facilitator is there to ensure everything runs smoothly, answer questions, and guide the process—but the participants are the ones doing the work!

The Reflection phase is based on 40 cards divided into 5 sets, which participants arrange by linking causes and consequences with arrows.

The workshop encourages taking action (eating local food, seasonal products, a more plant-based diet, etc.).

It is based on scientific and recognized sources (FAO, IPCC, ADEME, etc.).

The workshop is aimed at adults (a specific junior version also exists), whether experts or beginners on the topic, already committed—or not—to more sustainable eating. In short, the workshop is for anyone who wants to better understand what they eat! No prerequisites are required to participate.

Workshop Format

The workshop lasts 3 hours and is divided into several stages:

Start (30 min): icebreaker, introductions of participants and the facilitator, presentation of the workshop, etc.

Reflection (1h15): exploration of the causes and consequences of our consumption habits on the climate, biodiversity, health, and food system resilience.

Solutions (30 min): what solutions can we implement right now, at our own scale, to move toward more sustainable food? What are their consequences?

Actions (30 min): choosing one individual action and one collective action to move toward more sustainable food systems, and anticipating possible challenges or barriers.

Debrief (15 min): feedback on the workshop, final advice, and discussion on what comes next after the workshop.

Believe us, it goes by (very) quickly!
