TRIP DETAILS
Start Date and End Date: Wednesday, 19 August 2026 - Monday, 24 August 2026.
Meeting Time and Location: Reykjavík Bus Terminal (BSI Terminal) at 5:30 pm or directly at Accommodation.
Note: Exact Accommodation info will be provided to the confirmed participants closer to the trip date.
Finishing Time and Location: Keflavik International Airport at 3:30 AM on 24 August.
Note:
- You will need to organize an Airport Shuttle (through Flybus) and get off at BSI Terminal from where we can organize to pick you up (for participants arriving after 5pm on Friday).
- For early arrivals, if possible we can try to organize an early accommodation check-in.
- For earlier or later departures, you will need to organize an airport shuttle and we can help you if needed.
Hiking Difficulty: N/A.
Note: We will be driving around 250-350 km on most of the days during this trip.
Other Things of Note:
- Clothing: We will get close to a lot of waterfalls, so please bring waterproof clothes. In general different layers of clothes are advised since weather in Iceland can change quickly. Please bring your swimwear and ideally an extra towel.
What is included?
- Community leader & guide for the entire duration. Note: English is the main language spoken on this trip.
- 5 x nights shared accommodation in Reykjavik (quadruple shared rooms with shared bathrooms). Note: Refer to Package for accommodation upgrade options.
- Transportation for the entire trip starting from the meeting location to the finishing location. Note: We will be driving you in cars / vans for this entire trip.
- Breakfast supplies provided for all days.
- Entrance to Lava Show.
- Various Roadtrip excursions (refer to detailed plan for more info).
- Bus tickets to access DC3 plane wreck.
- Lunch in a Greenhouse farm (Tomato farm) on one of the days.
- Short driving tour around Reykjavik.
- Entrance to Crater lake.
- Organizing food places if required (participants will be paying for their own food).
