En faisant résonner son Ka et en fusionnant les traditions musicales caribéennes avec les compositions originales aux influences jazz et groove, Nathalie Jeanlys tisse une passerelle subtile et poétique entre les cultures tout en faisant un hommage à la sienne, guadeloupéenne.
Après la sortie remarquée de son premier single « Lanmou Vaudou » en mars 2023 — un cri d’amour résilient — elle poursuit son parcours en 2024 avec « Nasyon Nèg », un puissant appel à l’unité. Aujourd’hui, elle dévoile « Woulé », un album aux reflets de son engagement artistique et de son attachement à ses racines, entourée de musiciens qui ne sauraient mieux porter avec elle ce projet. Au piano, celui que TSFJazz a qualifié de « nouvelle étoile du jazz antillais » et que l’on retrouve en résidence au Club à partir d’octobre prochain, Xavier Belin, pianiste a la sensibilité rare. Thierry Jean Pierre, alias JPGroov’ est un bassiste guadeloupéen basé à Paris depuis 1994, dont le groove élégant accompagne en live et en studio des artistes prestigieux comme Cheb Mami, Mc Solaar, Kassav’, Tanya Saint Val, Sting, et Gage. A la batterie Kristof Négrit, leader d’un jazz caribéen vibrant qui mêle pulsations guadeloupéennes et improvisation moderne.

By making her Ka resonate and fusing Caribbean musical traditions with original compositions influenced by jazz and groove, Nathalie Jeanlys weaves a subtle, poetic bridge between cultures, while paying tribute to her own Guadeloupean heritage.
After the acclaimed release of her first single "Lanmou Vaudou" in March 2023 - a resilient cry for love - she continued her journey in 2024 with "Nasyon Nèg", a powerful call for unity. Today, she unveils "Woulé", an album that reflects her artistic commitment and her attachment to her roots, surrounded by musicians who could not support her project better. On piano, the man TSFJazz described as "the new star of West Indian jazz", Xavier Belin, a pianist of rare sensitivity, will be in residence at the Club from October. Thierry Jean Pierre, aka JPGroov', is a bassist from Guadeloupe who has been based in Paris since 1994. His elegant groove has accompanied such prestigious artists as Cheb Mami, Mc Solaar, Kassav', Tanya Saint Val, Sting and Gage, both live and in the studio. On drums Kristof Négrit, leader of a vibrant Caribbean jazz that blends Guadeloupean rhythms with modern improvisation.
