Préparez-vous à une soirée où le piano parle, où le swing respire et où chaque note a quelque chose à raconter : Jon Dryden, pianiste, compositeur et véritable artisan du son, pose ses valises dans notre club pour présenter pour la première fois sur scène son nouvel album très attendu “Some of My Lies Are True” pour un concert qui promet autant de finesse que d’énergie. Formé au Berklee College of Music puis installé pendant près de vingt ans à Brooklyn, il a croisé le fer (et les accords) avec des artistes de renom tels que Norah Jones, Regina Carter, Lenny White, Paula Cole, Madeleine Peyroux ou encore Gabi Hartmann, autrement dit, un CV qui groove déjà tout seul. Aujourd’hui basé en Californie du Nord, il continue de développer une esthétique jazz élégante et contemporaine, nourrie par ses albums Memento Mori (2020) et Trio (2022). Sur scène, il présentera ce répertoire entouré de ses complices de haut vol : Jon Dryden au piano, Robby Marshall au saxophone, Juan Villarroel à la basse et Jeff Boudreaux à la batterie. Un quartet taillé pour l’interaction, l’écoute et les moments de pure magie improvisée. Entre virtuosité discrète, complicité évidente et groove contagieux, autant dire que vous risquez fortement de hocher la tête… sans même vous en rendre compte.

Get ready for an evening where the piano speaks, the swing breathes and every note has something to say: Jon Dryden, pianist, composer and true craftsman of sound, is coming to our club to present his eagerly-awaited new album "Some My Lies Are True" for the first time on stage.Some of My Lies Are True in a concert that promises as much finesse as energy. Trained at the Berklee College of Music and then based in Brooklyn for nearly twenty years, he has crossed swords (and chords) with renowned artists such as Norah Jones, Regina Carter, Lenny White, Paula Cole, Madeleine Peyroux and Gabi Hartmann - in other words, a CV that's already grooving on its own. Now based in Northern California, he continues to develop an elegant, contemporary jazz aesthetic, inspired by his albums Memento Mori (2020) and Trio (2022). On stage, he'll be performing this repertoire surrounded by his top-flight accomplices: Jon Dryden on piano, Robby Marshall on saxophone, Juan Villarroel on bass and Jeff Boudreaux on drums. A quartet built for interaction, listening and moments of pure improvised magic. With their discreet virtuosity, obvious complicity and infectious groove, there's a good chance you'll be nodding your head... without even realising it.
