What to expect...
From Les Lilas, you will walk along quiet streets and passages lined with low houses and pavilions and their gardens overflowing with vegetation. Then you will plunge into the cool wood of the park Henri Barbusse.
Along the way you will enjoy spectacular views of Paris on one side and the Seine Saint-Denis plain on the other, whose silhouettes are perfectly cut against the sky! The city and its hustle and bustle seem far, far away. And as you leave the woods... you find that you are in Romainville!
You will discover the Corniche des Fort, which cuts through the new Romainville wood. You will climb up to reach the historic centre of the town where you will explore the streets of the former village. On the way back you will follow the curve of a beautiful hilly park once overlooked by the Romainville castle. And then you will head back to Les Lilas through the generous foliage and branches of the wood.
