About the Artist
Guillaume Vincent is one of the most brilliant French pianists of his generation. Originally from Annecy, he began playing the piano at the age of 7 and gave his first concerts by age 10. Quickly noticed by François-René Duchable, he entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris at 13, where he earned his Piano Prize with unanimous distinction and later completed his Master’s degree by the age of 18. He continued his studies at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium and in Vienna with renowned pedagogue Avedis Kouyoumdjian.
A sensitive and virtuosic artist, Guillaume Vincent has received numerous awards: Classical Revelation by ADAMI, Drouet-Bourgois Prize, SACEM Prize, Safran Foundation Music Prize, Orchestre National de France Prize, First Prize at the Adelia Alieva Competition, Third Grand Prize at the Marguerite Long – Jacques Thibaud International Competition... In 2014, he was named “Instrumental Soloist Revelation” at the Victoires de la Musique Classique.
Guillaume Vincent has performed as a soloist on the world’s most prestigious stages: Carnegie Hall in New York, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Barbican Centre in London, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Salle Pleyel, Salle Gaveau, Palace of Arts in Budapest, and the Qatar Philharmonic Hall. He has collaborated with renowned orchestras (Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Lamoureux...) under the direction of conductors such as Marc Minkowski, Tugan Sokhiev, Arie Van Beek, and Joshua Weilerstein.
He is a regular guest at major French festivals: La Folle Journée in Nantes, the Nohant Chopin Festival, Piano aux Jacobins, Esprit du Piano in Bordeaux, and festivals in Deauville, Biarritz, and Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
As a chamber musician, he performs with acclaimed artists such as Thomas Leleu, Lucienne Renaudin Vary, Adélaïde Ferrière, and the ensemble Ouranos. In 2024, he also joined the Trio Zadig.
A committed and inquisitive pianist, Guillaume Vincent also stands out for his ambitious recordings. He released a celebrated double album of Rachmaninov Preludes with Naïve, followed by Black Liszt, an album dedicated to rare and virtuosic works by Franz Liszt. Since 2023, he has been the only French pianist of his generation to undertake the complete works for solo piano by Rachmaninov, demonstrating a singular affinity with the Russian Romantic repertoire.
Guillaume is currently an associate artist at Le Volcan – Scène Nationale du Havre and at the Singer-Polignac Foundation in Paris.
