Statue of Louis XIV on Horseback, by the Pyramid of the Louvre, Paris, France
About
This tour of the Louvre explores a curated selection of works that illuminate how queer relationships and identities were understood—from ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome to the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. This tour also offers a more inclusive perspective on art history by revealing queer details often hidden in art works of Renaissance artists.
Duration: 2.5 hours (or less on request).
Entrance tickets for the museum included.
