Digital Modelling & In‑Silico Optimization for Industrial Bioprocesses

Masterclass Overview

Bioprocess R&D faces increasing pressure: long development cycles, scale-up uncertainties, high costs, and growing data complexity. Digital modelling technologies now offer a decisive competitive advantage by enabling faster, smarter and more reliable industrial biotechnology development.

iMEAN’s advanced modelling platform leverages genome-scale metabolic models, regulatory networks, enzyme kinetics, cellular burden modelling and AI-based predictors to achieve near-90% predictive accuracy for fermentation and biocatalysis performance. These “digital organisms” unlock:

  • Accurate prediction of microorganism behaviour under industrial conditions
  • Full exploitation of OMICS & enzyme biodiversity data
  • Targeted experimental design focusing on the highest-value options
  • Faster, more robust bioprocess design, optimization & scale-up
  • Enhanced decision-making for R&D investment strategies

This Master Class gives executives and scientists a foundational yet actionable introduction to these technologies through theoretical modules and hands-on simulations.
