Come explore Montauban, a charming bastide town in the South of France, famous for its pink brick architecture, elegant Place Nationale, peaceful Tarn riverbanks, and rich artistic heritage.

 

At AEGEE Toulouse, our trips are designed a bit differently. We invite you to take an active role in shaping your own experience, building your day around what you enjoy most, while also developing your planning skills.

We’ll share tips on the must-see attractions and suggest a social program you’re free to join (or not). Please note that any activities or visits are at your own expense. One or more AEGEE volunteers will be there to support the group and help things run smoothly.

 

To confirm your registration and get access to the WhatsApp group and travel guide, you'll need to purchase your train ticket and upload it through the registration form. All listed costs are estimates based on prices at the time of planning; they may vary depending on external factors.

 

Montauban is perfect for a one-day escape: we’ll wander through the beautiful Place Nationale, cross the historic Pont Vieux over the Tarn, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the old town. If you’re into culture, we’ll also suggest time for the Musée Ingres Bourdelle (optional, paid depending on your status) and a peaceful walk along the riverbanks (free).

 

Here is the program we are suggesting:

10:59 – Departure (train)
11:30 – Arrival + start of the city tour (free)
13:00 – Lunch at a restaurant or picnic (€12–15 if restaurant)
14:30 – Pont Vieux + riverside walk (free)
15:30 – Musée Ingres Bourdelle (optional, paid depending on your status)
17:02 – Train back to Toulouse
17:39 – Arrival in Toulouse
