Need a break from Toulouse?
Come explore Narbonne, a sunny Mediterranean city rich in Roman history, lively markets, and relaxed southern charm. From its impressive cathedral to its canals and vibrant food scene, Narbonne offers the perfect mix of culture and leisure for a day trip.
At AEGEE Toulouse, our trips are designed a bit differently. We invite you to take an active role in shaping your own experience, building your day around what you enjoy most, while also developing your planning skills.
We’ll share tips on the must-see attractions and suggest a social program you’re free to join (or not). Please note that any activities or visits are at your own expense. One or more AEGEE volunteers will be there to support the group and help things run smoothly.
To confirm your registration and get access to the WhatsApp group and travel guide, you'll need to purchase your train ticket and upload it through the registration form. All listed costs are estimates based on prices at the time of planning; they may vary depending on external factors.
Narbonne is perfect for a one-day escape: we’ll explore the impressive Cathédrale Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur (free), stroll along the Canal de la Robine (free), and wander through the historic center with its charming squares and Roman heritage. We’ll also suggest visiting Les Halles market for a lively local food experience (free entry, food at your own expense) and, if you're interested, the Horreum Roman underground galleries (optional, ~€5).
Here is the program we are suggesting:
10:14 – Departure (train)
11:53 – Arrival + start of the city tour (free)
13:00 – Visit to Les Halles market + lunch (€12–18 depending on choice)
14:00 – Cathédrale Saint-Just + city center walk (free)
15:30 – Canal de la Robine + Pont des Marchands (free)
16:30 – Horreum Roman (optional, ~€5)
17:02 – Train back to Toulouse
18:36 – Arrival in Toulouse
Round-trip train ticket price: €2 (€1 each way)
Ready for a sunny cultural escape by the Mediterranean vibe? Join us for a friendly adventure in Narbonne!
⚠️ Important: As this trip uses the €1 weekend train tickets, they tend to sell out very quickly. The original 09:19 train is already fully booked, and currently the 10:14 and 11:53 departures (arriving in Narbonne) are available. We strongly recommend booking
