This workshop explores the history and structures of the art market, examining how galleries, art fairs, auction houses, curators, collectors and public institutions operate, and how they influence the visibility and circulation of art.

Through practical examples and research tools, participants will learn how to identify relevant platforms, networks and opportunities for their practice, assess different pathways for developing their careers, and make informed decisions in a changing art world.

A collaborative exercise will invite participants to map potential opportunities for their own practice.
