Join the female vocal quartet NEREID—Esther, Lara, Sofie, and Eloïne—for their third concert, exploring of the tender balance between light and longing. Dedicated to exploring the richness of female vocal harmony, NEREID brings together a varied program of classical, traditional, and contemporary styles.
At the heart of this project is a unique collaboration between voice and harp, featuring the talented harpist Hanna Vandergoten. Together, they craft a delicate dance between the ethereal and the intimate.
The central pieces of this program are Gustav Holst’s mystical Hymn to the Rig Vega, inspired by ancient Sanskrit texts, and the radiant lyricism of Amy Beach’s Three Shakespeare Songs, drawn from A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
The repertoire further unfolds with traditional melodies and heartfelt arrangements of contemporary pop songs that hold special meaning for the quartet.
The concert will take place on Sunday 28th September at 4pm, generously hosted by the Danish Church of Brussels. While the contribution to this concert is voluntary (suggested contribution from 5 to 20 euros per ticket), we invite you to secure your seat in this online booking.
