THE RETURN OF VINYL
Vinyl has experienced continuous global growth for over a decade.
In the face of the all-digital world, it embodies a return to the physical object, to analog sound, and to the collective experience.
Buying a record, browsing through a crate, chatting with a vendor, listening to a DJ playing exclusively on turntables: PARIS LOVES VINYL offers a total immersion in this culture.
More than just a market, it's a moment of shared passion and transmission.
AN ICONIC VENUE: ESPACE NIEMEYER
For its 16th edition, PARIS LOVES VINYL takes over the iconic, monumental, 1000m² semi-underground hall of Espace Niemeyer, a true architectural promenade with modernist curves.
Visitors can also admire the famous White Dome, designed by Oscar Niemeyer and nicknamed "the belly," the building's centerpiece and a symbol of the venue, offering a spectacular dialogue between architecture and musical culture.
364 smoked glass panes designed by Jean Prouvé.
Structure resting on 5 concrete pillars.
Application of modernist principles inherited from Le Corbusier.
The dome, 22 meters in diameter and nearly 11 meters high, is the centerpiece of the venue. Its ceiling, composed of thousands of aluminum slats, transforms the space into a futuristic setting with an almost cinematic aesthetic, while ensuring remarkable acoustics.
Designed pro bono by Niemeyer for the French Communist Party (PCF) after his exile from Brazil in 1964, the building embodies both political commitment and architectural audacity.
Over the decades, it has become a sought-after venue for the international art scene.
A masterpiece of modern architecture, listed as a Historical Monument since 2007, the building has hosted international fashion shows, film shoots, and artistic performances, notably Kanye West's Yeezy show and Angèle's "Jalousie" music video.
Installing the largest vinyl record collection in France in this iconic location confirms a clear convergence between architectural heritage and contemporary musical culture.
