Deux batteries, deux tempéraments et un paquet d’étincelles : ce soir au Baiser Salé, le Grec Sotiris Tsolis et le Franco-Espagnol Tiss Rodriguez embarquent le public pour un voyage rythmique sans escale. On est loin du duel : c’est plutôt un dialogue façon Tony Williams rencontre Ray Barretto, entre poésie du geste et groove qui secoue.

Sotiris, formé entre Athènes, New York et Paris, a trimballé ses baguettes du North Sea Jazz à Jazz à Vienne, en passant par Sónar, avec un style qui fait danser la tradition et l’impro libre. Tiss, qu’on a croisé aux côtés d’innombrables pointures, navigue entre jazz, rock, musiques latines et africaines, toujours avec un son organique et une énergie contagieuse.

Two drum kits, two temperaments and a whole lot of sparks: tonight at Le Baiser Salé, Greek drummer Sotiris Tsolis and Franco-Spanish drummer Tiss Rodriguez take the audience on a non-stop rhythmic journey. This is far from a duel: it's more like a dialogue between Tony Williams and Ray Barretto, combining poetic gestures and a rocking groove.

Sotiris, trained in Athens, New York and Paris, has taken his drumsticks from North Sea Jazz to Jazz à Vienne, via Sónar, with a style that blends tradition and free improvisation. Tiss, who has played alongside countless big names, navigates between jazz, rock, Latin and African music, always with an organic sound and contagious energy.

An hour-long concert with four drumsticks, followed by a jam session open to all. In short, an evening of beating the rhythm... until the wee hours.
