Located in the heart of the Svalbard archipelago off the coast of Norway, Pyramiden is a Soviet paradise that was soon deserted after the fall of the regime. But during the 1970s, in the middle of the Soviet golden age, all Russians dreamed of settling in this contemporary utopia. You too can enjoy its idyllic living conditions and breathtaking scenery with our patented time travel technology.

Fasten your seat belt, and get ready for takeoff. Be careful, however: the agency declines all responsibility in cases of spatio-temporal defects.

What to expect

Escape games are collaborative efforts. In either a physical or digital space, the goals remain the same: l: groups must find their way out in a limited amount of time. But for that, they will have to solve puzzles, open lockers, wander in many places…

Puzzle games

The virtual escape game allows colleagues to play together from home with just a computer, an internet connection, headphones and a webcam. They then become immersed in an exciting new world following a story where they are the main characters.

This escape game was designed for a team of 4 to 6 players in collaboration. But depending on your needs, it is possible to play a large number of games simultaneously. During their adventure, the players must show ingenuity to decipher the proposed enigmas, curiosity to search and find the hidden clues, but also and above all team spirit to communicate their discoveries and use their personal qualities to the benefit of the group. It is a collective effort that allows the whole team to rise together towards victory (or not).

What is Pyramiden?

Pyramiden is a virtual escape game offering an immersive experience mixing real photographs of the ghost town of Pyramiden, an original narration and playful enigmas to be solved in collaboration.

What do I need to do the experience?

Here is what you need:
1. a computer connected to the internet,
2. Google Chrome or Brave browser (download Brave)
3. a headset or earphones
4. a microphone
5. a webcam

Can I play from my work computer?

Yes, but your system administrator may have restrictions in place on your computer. To test your computer, log in with the chrome or brave browser at this address:

Do I need a powerful computer to play?

No. But a number of precautions can help optimize performance:

* close all other browser tabs during the experience
* stop all downloads and other software updates
* close any video conferencing apps such as zoom or facetime that might interfere with the experience
* if you use a laptop, plug it into the mains

Is it possible to do the experience with several people in the same room?

It is possible, but we advise you to be as far away from each other as possible. It is better to isolate yourself in different rooms, or ideally to connect remotely from each other.

I don't have Chrome because Google doesn't respect my privacy

We totally understand and that's why it's also possible to play with the Brave browser which is an equivalent of Chrome, but without Google, and 100% respectful of your privacy and personal data. You will encounter technical problems if you try to connect with another browser (firefox, safari, internet explorer...).

Can I connect from my smartphone or my tablet?

No, Pyramiden is currently only accessible from a computer.

Can I customize my experience ?

Of course you can! Contact us directly at pyramiden@upian.com and we will be happy to discuss with you what can be done. For example, we can organize a great number of simultaneous games and gather all the teams after the game to exchange on the difficulties encountered, the shared successes and the feeling of each one about the experience.

How old do I have to be to enjoy Pyramiden?

The experience is available for anyone from 12 years old. There are no contraindications for people with heart problems. People under 16 years old must be accompanied by at least one adult.

Are there riddles to solve?

Pyramiden is an escape game, the principle is to make you live an adventure by trying to escape in team, to advance in the game, you will need to search, to communicate, and to make your neurons work to solve enigmas. If you get stuck, you will be able to receive clues to help you.

Is Pyramiden scary?

No. Pyramiden is a playful and immersive experience. Everything is done so that you spend a fun and stimulating moment with your friends.

Reservation

Where can I find my connection link?

You and all the players registered with you will receive the login link in an email a few hours before the experience.

I didn't receive a confirmation email, what should I do?

Wait a few minutes, emails can take a long time to be sent. Otherwise, check your spam. If you still can't find the confirmation email, send an email to pyramiden@upian.com with your Name, First Name, day and time of reservation.

I want to add a participant, what should I do?

If you have booked a game for 4 or 5 players and you want to add more players (up to 6 possible). Send us an email at pyramiden@upian.com with the day and time of your session and the contact information of the additional players (name, first name, email) so that we can add them to your session.

One of my group members can no longer come.

The experience can still take place with a minimum of 4 participants. You can find another player and send him/her the connection link that will be sent to you 1 day before the experiment. Otherwise, please send us an email at pyramiden@upian.com so that we can convert your session.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Except for a technical error on our part, reservations are neither cancelable nor refundable. However, we can reschedule the session to a later date, at your convenience.
