À l’occasion du centenaire de la naissance de Miles Davis, le Big Band vous propose un programme autour de sa collaboration avec l’arrangeur Gil Evans (1948-1950).
L’improvisation, art de l’instant, fait vibrer l’inattendu chez chacun d’entre nous. Mélodies, accords, rythmes et contrepoints deviennent alors des matières à transformer, à explorer, à développer. Entre prises de risque et élans partagés, ateliers et créations célèbrent une liberté colorée, joyeuse, vivifiante. C’est dans l’équilibre entre structure et spontanéité que l’improvisation révèle toute sa magie : celle de créer, ensemble ou seul, un moment unique, éphémère et profondément humain.

On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Miles Davis, the Big Band presents a program focused on his collaboration with arranger Gil Evans (1948–1950).
Improvisation—an art of the moment—awakens the thrill of the unexpected within each of us. Melodies, chords, rhythms, and counterpoints become materials to be transformed, explored, and developed. Between risk-taking and shared momentum, workshops and creations celebrate a colorful, joyful, and invigorating freedom. It is in the balance between structure and spontaneity that improvisation reveals its full magic: the power to create, together or alone, a unique, fleeting, and profoundly human moment.
