How can recent anti-corruption developments in the European Union be effectively implemented and enforced in Belgium?
This seminar will offer an analysis of the measures that have been implemented and those that still need to be introduced to promote integrity across all sectors. Join industry experts, public institution representatives and civil society leaders to discuss initiatives and opportunities for establishing effective anti-corruption policies in Belgium.

The EU-directive aims at a harmonisation of the definition and the sanctioning of corruption. The philosophy behind the new Criminal Code is simplicity, accuracy and consistency, as well as a more tailored approach to sentencing. In this panel we discuss the effectiveness of the current criminal law policy on corruption and how the new regulation will impact the criminal prosecution of corruption.
