La Sphere is hosting a two-and-a-half-day immersive workshop dedicated to the Path of the real person (Shan Ren Dao), an emotional healing system rooted in the ancient Chinese wisdom of the five elements.

 

Traditionally taught as part of a two-week retreat, this programme is offered here in a condensed format designed to introduce participants to its essential principles.

Rooted in the teachings of Wang Fengyi (1864–1937), Shan Ren Dao holds that unresolved emotions, mistaken beliefs, and inherited patterns of relating become deeply embedded in the body, distancing us from our true nature. Their accumulation gives rise to emotional toxins that sustain chronic stress and contribute to physical disorders and illness.

 

Participants will explore emotions such as anger, fear, guilt, and anxiety in light of their effects on the body. Through teachings and guided group discussions, they will be invited to examine the emotional patterns embedded in their personal histories and to develop a clearer awareness of them.

 

The workshop will be led by Tamara Staudt and Laurie Regan (see biographies below).

Shan Ren Dao practitioner and instructor
Tamara Staudt offers annual Shan Ren Dao retreats in the United States. The indescribable experience of aliveness, intimacy and “realness” that occurs within the powerful alchemy of those coming together with common purpose has become a highlight of her year since the first United States retreat in 2011.

 

[ LAURIE REGAN ]
PhD in Neurobiology and Naturopathic Medicine
Laurie Regan received a PhD in Neurobiology from Harvard University (1991) and an ND from NUNM (1997), where she was dean of Classical Chinese Medicine from 2005-2020.
