From July 9 to August 23, 2026, embark on a spectacular adventure in the heart of Sainte-Croix Church in Saint-Malo.
With Terra Aletia – In the Wake of the Corsairs, the church vaults become the setting for a great immersive journey combining monumental 360° projections, lighting, spatialized sound, holographic effects, actors, extras and original music.
A family-friendly, poetic and spectacular show, imagined by Damien Fontaine, creator of major immersive shows in France and internationally.
Hoist the sails, the stars await us!
Élise is sixty years old, but she has never forgotten that month of June 1976.
As a child, while dreaming of reaching Saint-Malo, her grandparents and the sea, she opens a book about corsairs… and sees René Duguay-Trouin appear, coming from another time.
At his side, Élise embarks on an adventure between history and legend, discovering the corsairs, the Terre-Neuvas and the great figures who shaped Saint-Malo.
But at the end of the journey, will they find the true treasure of the Malouin city?
For this new creation by Damien Fontaine, Sainte-Croix Church becomes a living set, enhanced by large-scale immersive technologies:
Every evening, the church becomes a ship, an open book, a sea of images and light.
Terra Aletia is also, above all, a major collective adventure.
Around the artistic and technical team, hundreds of volunteers take part in bringing the show to life: extras, audience reception, logistics, costumes, organisation… All help give substance to the story and make every performance a unique moment.
Director, composer and stage director, Damien Fontaine has been creating monumental shows in France and internationally for more than fifteen years.
His creations have already brought together several million spectators and stand out through a unique signature: combining cutting-edge visual technologies, original music, live performance and stories deeply rooted in the history of each venue.
With Terra Aletia, he imagines a brand-new work for Saint-Malo, between memory, heritage, maritime adventure and dreams of escape.
