The Book Club "Love & Music"
About
The Book Club XL — Love & Music at Galerie Bortier
The Book Club reimagines the traditional book clubs to welcome people that have never read the book to join in conversation on the topics touched upon within the book.

In this special edition, we will be inviting artists and people adjacent to the music industry to be on a panel talking about love; through conversations inspired by quotes from books and lyrics in songs, we hope to create an intimate conversation between the audience and the panel on love
and the importance of it.
The rest of the night will be full of good music from DJs:
Laura K
DJ Jays
RaQL

STACE, a rising figure in the Brussels neo-soul scene, made a strong impression on the music industry in 2021 with her debut EP Green Onyx, which led her to perform on over 60 stages across Belgium. After a creative break dedicated to composition, she returns with a new EP set for release on October 27 under 62 Records and a highly anticipated concert at AB in November 2023. Her musical universe, both sensual and contemplative, explores extreme emotions with deep sensitivity and a luminous interpretation.

Kriticos: A multidisciplinary creative who wears many hats: as a musician, activist, and speaker.
Since 2021, Kriticos created “The Book Club”, a book club for people that didn’t read the book. Kriticos seeks to create safe spaces for intimate honest conversations, while educating people on art, literature and culture. His hope is to make knowledge accessible to all.

Nsangu, an artist from Liège now based in Brussels, moves between music and theater. Of Congolese origin, she was introduced to neo-soul by her uncle before exploring French chanson through Aznavour. Her style, which she describes as "expressive," blends soul with nostalgia, carried by a powerful voice and intense interpretation. After nine months of studio work, she is set to release a series of musical projects in 2025, following 17 scheduled concerts in Belgium in 2024. Meanwhile, she makes her theater debut in "L’amour" by Pitcho Womba Konga at KVS, marking a new chapter in her artistic journey.

Come celebrate Valentine’s Day with a lovely night at Galerie Bortier
