D.I.A is delighted to host a special workshop in Paris with the acclaimed Bharatanatyam duo Shijith Nambiar & Parvathy Menon.
This is not just about learning a piece, it’s an opportunity to dive into their choreographic process.
Widely respected for their creative approach to Bharatanatyam,
Shijith & Parvathy will guide participants through a section of one of their original choreographies, using it as a way to explore how a piece is built from concept and rhythm to structure and expression.
A unique chance to learn directly from two inspiring artists for dancers who want to go deeper into the art of creation.
About the artists :
Shijith & Parvathy are esteemed alumni of Kalakshetra Foundation, one of India’s most prestigious institutions dedicated to classical arts and Bharatanatyam. Recently honoured with an award from the Music Academy, they have established themselves internationally, regularly invited to teach and perform in countries such as Germany and the UK, where interest and the level of appreciation for classical dance are particularly strong.
Their work is known for its artistic integrity, emotional depth, and strong connection to tradition, while remaining open and accessible to contemporary audiences and students.
