The Physics of Culture
About
Résumé :
Within the haptic discipline of architecture, imagination is twinned with craft and art translating use into something meaningful. To do this, it is necessary to navigate creatively within the construction industry, inventing and making with available resources. The Earth is precious. Because  architecture creates the new ‘crust’ that we inhabit in our contemporary world, it could be described as the Physics of Culture.

Our conviction that Architecture is the new geography has developed through a body of work and reflection on what is happening to the world around us. As more and more of the natural world disappears, what we do as architects actually makes the world we live in, at a scale where it is possible to consider it as geography, not as individual objects, but, by the sheer amount of building, architecture is at a scale of the earth’s geography. It is modified earth.
