Unlike its lively neighbor Île de la Cité, Île Saint-Louis has preserved an intimate atmosphere, with narrow streets, elegant 17th-century townhouses, and a true village-like charm.

Throughout history, it has attracted writers, artists, and intellectuals, who found inspiration in its quiet beauty. Today, it is known for its charming boutiques, riverside views, and the famous Berthillon ice cream.
