The floor offers a greater range of possibilities that can arise when not limited by the restrictions of suspension. Playing on the floor allows us to make each rope added, each change of position and each decision based on the communication between top and bottom. In this sense, floor play allows us to tie from the heart and not only from the head. 

 

This workshop will give an introduction to huahua’s approach to floor play including how to build a scene, tie by following the reactions of the model and create progression where by the bottom is gradually subdued. 

 

The first half of the class will be on Ipponnawa, using one rope to explore how minimal ropes can create maximum impact. The second half will be on Ebizeme (shrimp torture), creating maximal restraint by progressively adding more and more rope to a static compact shape. 

 

 

Pre-requisites: 

Riggers should have knowledge of TKs. 

Bottoms should have experience being in a TK for extended amount of time be able to identify between a nerve and blood numbing sensation in their own body.

Both should be prepared to explore non-verbal communication in the exercises and have clear understanding of how to negotiate a scene.
