YOGA TEACHER

Yoga Teacher is a Brussels-based band formed by four musicians. Their sound, described as “cardio-psych-rock,” is both tense and striking, shaped as much by the rain that punctuates their days as by the inevitable yellowing of the white walls of their studio, all infused with a taste for the absurd.

Yoga Teacher has just released their debut EP, HOTEL ROOM CARPET MOTIF, a six-track collection situated at the crossroads of psychedelic rock, post-punk, and art rock. At times frenetic, at times meditative, the compositions stand out through incisive guitars, ironic lyrics reflecting on the absurdity of the modern world, and rhythmic patterns that occasionally take unexpected turns, all anchored in a distinctly contemporary sensibility.
