ZÖJ is an Australian experimental and intercultural music duo formed by Gelareh Pour (vocals, kamancheh and qeychak) and Brian O’Dwyer (drums and percussion). Their music blends Persian musical traditions with a contemporary, improvisational approach, placing Persian poetry at the heart of their work.

Through the dialogue between Gelareh’s expressive voice and virtuosic string playing and Brian’s rich rhythmic textures, ZÖJ creates music that is immersive, sensitive and deeply original.
