In Brussels, a zinneke is a stray dog: a creature of mixed roots, speaking many languages and belonging everywhere and nowhere at once. Soul of our city.

ZinNeKe Night brings together different artistic disciplines for a spontaneous crossroads of comedy, music and dance at La Fabriek. From bastards to bastards.

The evening starts at 19:00 with Nepalese food served at the venue. At 20:00, improv group The Draft will kick things off, followed by stand-up comedian Tristan Barber, from Insecure & Dangereux comedy nights.

 

Live music follows with two acts: Velvet Jesus, a Leuven-based band blending indie rock with Arabic influences reminiscent of Tamino and Calexico; and Freakuency, mixing synth-pop and trip-hop into dreamy territory.

From midnight until 5 AM, the dancefloor takes over. Selectors Pep, Shubo and Wiebe will guide the night through deep, groovy electronic records.
