Ce nouvel album “Spirit of 3”, c’est d’abord une rencontre musicale et spirituelle entre la plume inspirée de Christophe Dal Sasso et les mots tout en prière de Shekinah Rodz. C’est ensuite une énergie qui s’opère à huit voix, pour tutoyer les frontières du jazz dans une célébration du chiffre trois : passé, présent, futur ; mélodie, rythme, silence…  

Riche de ses écritures passées pour des big band, des chœurs ou des orchestrations symphoniques, il signe là un répertoire aussi profond que festif, au croisement des rythmes méditerranéens, africains et indiens.  

Trois, encore. Chiffre décidément fondamental qui vient exalter tout ce que nous avons de binaire, nos bras, nos yeux, nos oreilles et jusqu’aux battements de nos cœurs.  

Trois, pour dire la naissance, la vie, la mort. Mais surtout la vie ! Alors, la transe fut... L’intuition a ceci de fantastique qu’il lui arrive souvent de voir juste…

Then there's the energy of eight voices, reaching out to the frontiers of jazz in a celebration of the number three: past, present, future; melody, rhythm, silence...

With a wealth of experience of writing for big bands, choirs and symphonic orchestras, this is a repertoire as profound as it is festive, at the crossroads of Mediterranean, African and Indian rhythms.

Three again. A fundamental number that exalts all that is binary about us, our arms, our eyes, our ears and even the beating of our hearts.

Three, to express birth, life and death. But above all, life! And so the trance began... The fantastic thing about intuition is that it is often right on the money...
