Most auspiciously, Kyabjé Khen Rinpoche will give teachings on the Heart Sutra at Rangjung Yeshe Gomde Pyrénées from 25th July till 3rd August, beginning each day at 11am CET for approximately one and a half hours. Khenpo-la exceptionally agreed that the teachings will also be live streamed via Zoom. We are grateful that this will allow participants across the globe to watch these precious teachings and take advantage of this extraordinary opportunity.
Translation from Tibetan will be offered in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Vietnamese. We are also working to provide French translation and hope to make it available as well. Please indicate below which language you would like to use to follow the online teachings.
Participants are expected to commit to attending the seminar entirely and to prepare for each session by viewing the previous teaching either live or the recording. Please respect Kyabjé Khenpo’s wishes on this important attendance requirement.
Recordings of the teachings will be accessible until two weeks after the seminar. The Zoom link will be shared via email a few days before teachings will start.
We would like to make the teachings accessible to everyone by offering online participation on a donation basis. Any offering you make is very beneficial for Gomde to flourish and to cover costs related to the spiritual program.
The Heart Sutra, Sanskrit prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya sūtra (“Discourse on the Heart of the Perfection of Wisdom”), in Mahayana Buddhism, an extremely brief yet highly influential distillation of the essence of (“Perfection of Wisdom”) writings. Although the sutra primarily consists of a dialogue between Shariputra and the great bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, their words are inspired by the blessings of the Buddha, who remains absorbed in samadhi meditation until the end of the discussion. As with all the Perfection of Wisdom sutras, the teaching took place at Vulture's Peak near Rajagriha.
