Como As Flores is a musical journey through the Souths—in the plural.

The South of Tangier, birthplace of Jean-Marie Machado, whose father was Portuguese and mother Italian. The South of Armenia, where Claude Tchamitchian's family has its roots. And the South of Brazil, home to percussionist Ze Luis Nascimento, who comes from Salvador de Bahia.

Jean-Marie Machado's piano playing is simply remarkable: inspired, lyrical, intimate and beautifully nuanced. As Jazz Magazine wrote: "Attending a Jean-Marie Machado concert is like enjoying a Christmas feast: every course, from the appetisers to the dessert, is a delight."

His compositions, often bearing evocative titles, reveal not only a remarkable pianist but also an outstanding composer.

Claude Tchamitchian is already well known to Open-Music audiences, having previously appeared at the club with artists such as Naïssam Jalal and Andy Emler. His expressive playing and masterful bow technique are always a highlight.

An evening of elegance, emotion and musical refinement awaits.

Line-up:
