Summer Seminar 2026 with Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche and Closing of Three-Year Retreat

Rangjung Yeshe Gomde Pyrénées joyfully invites you to join our beloved teacher, Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche from August 31 until September 6, 2026 for the annual summer seminar and the sealing of the second three-year retreat. We also invite you to remain for the period from September 7-19 to practice together in a 2 week retreat (optional 1 week) led by Drubpon Lama Tenzin.
The schedule is as follows:

31st August to 5th September: Summer seminar with teachings from Rinpoche, Drupon Lama Tenzin and Khenpo Pema Namgyal

6th September: closing of the second 3 year retreat in Gomde Pyrénées

7th September: Departure of all who are not staying for the 2 week meditation retreat; Strart of retreat with Drubpon Lama Tenzin

19th September: End of retreat

20th September: Departure day after retreat
During the summer seminar, we will be very fortunate to receive nature of mind teachings from Rinpoche and on one of the days he will lead the Ocean of Amrita (Ngakso) puja (Ocean of Amrita - Rangjung Yeshe Publishing).This is an extensive Vajrayana Buddhist hidden teaching (terma) concealed by Padmasambhava and revealed by the treasure-revealer Chokgyur Lingpa. Its primary purpose is to mend and purify broken vows, restore spiritual commitments (samaya), and clear obstacles through mantra recitation and confession.
Rinpoche will also bestow empowerments - more information will be provided closer to the seminar.
Drubpon Lama Tenzin Sangpo and Khenpo Pema Namgyal will offer teachings that we can immediately put into practice in the ideal setting of our mountain retreat center.
The official arrival day for the seminar is August 30 and the program will begin with a welcome session and meditation in the evening after dinner. If you intend to arrive earlier than August 30 please book additional days below and let us know your dates by writing to us at

The official departure day for the seminar is September 7, 2026. We will begin the meditation retreat in the afternoon of that day, so we ask everyone who is not staying for the retreat to check out of their room in the morning of September 7. We appreciate your understanding that we need some time to rearrange spaces for the practice retreat.
TRANSLATION:
Translation from Tibetan will be provided in English, French and Spanish.
PREREQUISITES:
The most important prerequisite for attendance is genuine trust and faith in the Dharma and the wish to practice the teachings. It is best if one has taken refuge, previously practiced meditation in the Buddhist tradition for an extended time, and received mind nature teachings previously from Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche or another teacher in the tradition.
PRACTICE TEXTS
On the registration page you can chose to purchase the Ocean of Amrita (Ngakso) and Trinley Nyingpo practice texts. You will receive a printed copy upon arrival.
ACCOMMODATION
Due to our limited space, beds in the house in shared rooms are only available for those who are attending the full seminar from August 30-September 7. All our rooms will be converted into triple rooms and all bathroom facilities are shared. Please understand that priority is also being given to the families of our new group of three-year retreatants.
You are very welcome to camp on Gomde's land either in one of our tents or in your own tent, but we will need you to register for that here as well. Our tent camping also has dry toilets and shower facilities.
To help you to determine if camping is an option for you, you may wish to consult the historic weather for this time of year.
There are also limited options in the gites in the village of La Bastide. These gite options are shared apartments with several bedrooms, a kitchen, and an attached bathroom. Some of the bedrooms are only set-up with a double bed to sleep a couple.
Please read the accommodation options carefully to make the most suitable choice. You are also most welcome to attend the seminar and practice sessions as an off-site participant, in which case we request you to still register accordingly below. This is necessary for us to plan for the shrine room set-up and lunch. Off-site participants are invited to havve lunch with the entire group.

CANCELLATION POLICY
It takes a lot of effort and resources to plan a seminar with Rinpoche. Therefore if you cancel less than 30 days to the start of the seminar we regret that we cannot refund your fees.
If you want to insure yourself against the risk of needing to cancel, Billetweb offers an event insurance option during the checkout process while registering. This is managed by Billetweb and Gomde has nothing to do with it but a number of prior participants have had success with this method.
If you cannot make it but cannot request a refund anymore, please still let us know that you won't be coming by emailing retreatinpyrenees@gomde.fr. That way, we can keep it in mind when planning Dharma Service Jobs.
TRANSPORT
We will arrange transport from and to Perpignan Gare (railway and bus station) and from and to Barcelona Airport at pre-arranged times. The transport will be available on 30 August and on 7 September and at the end of the retreat on 20 September.
We ask that you tick the specific time box for the transport on the registration page if you wish to sign up for a ride. Please purchase it at least 1 week in advance.
The price of transfer from/to Perpignan to Gomde is 40 Euros per person and from/to Barcelona Airport is 80 Euros per person. This will be in a shared private taxi or a van. Please note that the times might change a bit to suit all the people best.
We will contact you about the details of the pick-up and drop-off latest 2 weeks before the event. If you have any questions about the transfers, you can write to shuttles@gomde.fr.
For other arrival or departure times, you will need to make your own arrangements with public transport or taxis in Barcelona or Perpignan. We appreciate your understanding of our remote location. There are many different options for bus and train travel from Barcelona to Perpignan (Check Flixbus, BlablaBus, trainline.com).
