We discovered this trio at our friends' Black Cat Jazz Club in Torhout and were instantly captivated!
Three young women – Nette, Sofie and Julie – from Ghent, now widely regarded as the capital of contemporary Flemish jazz, share a passion for swing and treat the human voice as a true musical instrument.
Their vocal harmony is simply outstanding. Each singer brings her own distinctive tone and vocal range, blending beautifully to create rich, perfectly balanced polyphony.
The trio is superbly supported by guitar and double bass, adding depth and warmth to this all-female vocal project.
Line-up:
Julie Honorez – vocals
Sofie Cabooter – vocals
Nette Mortelmans – vocals
Lodewijk Dedain – guitar
Geertjan Tillmans – double bass
